Boldmere are no strangers to 'Bescot' as it is more widely known, having visited in each of the last three seasons. The ground opened in 1990, and has a pitch size of 110 x 73 yards. The ground now holds 11,300 all-seated, following the opening of the double-decker Floors 2 Go Stand in 2003.
Boldmere have been designated as 'home' team for this game, so will use the home dressing room. There is no superstition attached to this, as the Mikes successfully operated from both dressing rooms during their run of three successive Walsall Senior Cup wins.
The Mikes will also wear their first choice colours of all white, but there is no colour clash, as Town's first choice colours are all red.
This season's league games between the two teams produced one win a piece. The Mikes were the first team to defeat Market Drayton in the Aspire MFA this season, securing a hard-faught 2-1 win on mid-October thanks to a quick-fire brace of penalties from Stuart McNaught.
The Shropshire side exacted full revenge courtesy of a 4-0 victory over a below par Mikes in the return fixture in March, when their title charge was in full swing.
Kirk Smith misses the game due to suspension, following his Easter Monday dismissal at Stratford Town. Otherwise, The Mikes expect to be at full strength for their season finale.
Town have a fitness doubt over leading scorer Tom Ward, who missed their title run-in with a hamstring injury.
The Sropshire side have had the slight edge during their 3-year stint in the MFA.
2008-9 BSM 1 v 2 MDT / MDT 0 v 2 BSM
2007-8 BSM 0 v 5 MDT / MDT 0 v 0 BSM
2008-9 BSM 2 v 1 MDT / MDT 4 v 0 BSM
The one certainty is that there will be a new name on the trophy, as both teams are making their first appearance in the final of this competition.
It promises to be a cracker.
COME ON YOU MIKES!
