Alan Parsons
DOB: 11-03-1949
Position: Centre Half
Nickname: Parso
Parso originally joined the club in 1987 as a player, before taking the mangerial reins when John Morris left for Halesowen Town. He stayed in charge of the first team for a mammoth 16 years, before finally handing over the reins to Rob Mallaband in 2005. His playing career also took in Moor Green, Bromsgrove Rovers and Sutton Coldfield Town.
Currently performing the roles of Club Secretary and Programme Editor, readers are still treated to the joys of Parso's Patter on a regular basis, taking plenty of opportunity to reminisce about the good old days and bemoan the current fashions for coloured bladed boots, snoods and the like! Confirming that he was a proper centre half, Parso always wore studs, even during all those years in the dugout.
A true club stalwart who is hugely recognisable and popular around the non league circuit, Parso is still a confirmed non-driver, meaning that his renowned enjoyment of the amber nectar is not compromised in the slightest.
