Alvechurch 0 - 3 Boldmere St. Michaels
Alvechurch started the first half kicking down the slope and had the early chances to score. Dave Dainty had a 4th minute effort cleared off the line and Dainty again went close in the 19th minute when he got on the end of a Rogers cross with a diving header. A 29th minute chance again fell to the lively Dainty and he saw his header on goal cleared by ‘The Mikes’ Wood.
Boldmere’s first real effort came as the first half was coming to a close. Holmes set up Osborne but his effort was well blocked by the Alvechurch keeper Chris Taylor.
Osborne ensured Boldmere took the lead in the first minute after the re-start. His control at the back post sent the defender one way and he went the other, to turn and shoot into the far corner of the net. Boldmere doubled their lead 15 minutes later. Baker’s corner found Wood at the back post to score with a header. Alvechurch pushed forward thereafter and Boldmere’s defence held firm with 7 minutes to go Lyndon Weller, sent on as a 68th minute substitute, beat the fullback
Chilton, then slid the ball into far side of the goal to score Boldmere’s third to ensure ‘The Mikes’ 4th away league victory of the season.
