The young Mikes hosted Alvechurch in the first Premier League match of the season. On a surface with plenty of grass the home side made a solid start and took the lead on 18 minutes when Johaine Thompson volleyed home.
On 30 mins they increased their lead after a through ball again found Thompson for him to shoot under the keeper and complete a fine double.
The first victory and league points of the new campaign were completed when Danny Mulholland picked up an a rebound to score from close range.
