Aspire MFA FA Cup round-up
Just one week into the season and its FA Cup time again. Each and every club that entered the competition was hoping that by 5pm they would be £750 better off. As is usual the MFA saw several of its clubs drawn against each other There four ties involving all MFA clubs. Coleshill Town were at home to Bridgnorth Town, Cradley Town played host to Biddulph Victoria, Highgate United welcomed Malvern Town and Oadby Town and Kirby Muxloe made up the final pairing.
Well The FA Cup is a funny old competition, and it brought about 2 very unlikely results. Northern Counties East side Long Eaton dumped Barwell out of the Cup and Sleaford Town of the United Counties League disposed of Loughborough University.
Causeway United continued with their early season form beating Wellington 3-1 and Coalville Town went through following their 3-2 win against Barrow Town. Tipton demolished Mid Comb outfit 4-0 and at Hereford Westfields hammered Bolehall Swifts 5-0, as did Stratford Town, they recorded the same score line at home to Pilkington XXX. Alvechurch progressed at the expense of Bewdley Town Other winners were Coventry Sphinx victors of Bromyard Town and Rocester winners at home to Wednesfield.
