Boldmere St. Michaels 0 - 0 Cradley Town

The visitors had the first major chance of the evening on 8 minutes when Mark Swann just missed the target following Henry Goh's cross to the 18 yard line.  Again it was Cradley registering a close miss, with the ball
falling to Ryan Rowe on 16 minutes, after a long cross from Justin Grandison.

The home side then kicked into action and the chances followed. A minute later there was a fine move started by Shaun Derry who found Weller on the right, his cross found Baker whose header on saved on the line. Lee Osborne then found his effort well saved after being put in by Garry Barton.

A big moment of the first half involved Cradley's goalkeeper Michael Connolly, who handled outside his area, a yellow card and the resulting free kick by Derry was seen wide.

At half time Boldmere were forced to make a change with goalkeeper Adam Lane replacing the injured Daniel Cobb who had injured his thumb during the first 45. Lane was thrown into the action straight away, in the first minute of the half and he made a fine save from Swann, and 2 minutes later a header from Marlon. Four minutes later a free kick by Lane fell short to the unmarked Rowe who advanced on goal with Lane back peddling, Rowes shot fell into the arms of Lane. Just after the hour mark Wood was again on hand for a saving tackle on Swann with the clearance by Barton.

Boldmere having survived a busy 20 minute spell then took the ascendancy following the appearance of Nathan Gough who replaced Lee Osbourne. His energy was causing Cradley problems and chances were being dominated by the home side, the best two fell to John Williams who went close with two fine efforts from just inside the area.

With literally one of the last kicks of the game, Boldmere had the ball in the net. Barton's pass into the box was flicked onto Baker on the left hand side of the 18 yard. Baker picked out on the back post and found John Williams who headed into the unguarded net, the assistant flagged for a controversial offside. After the following free kick the full time whistle went. On the whole a draw was probably a fair result as both sides had their fair share of possession, attacks and key chances.
