Boldmere St. Michaels Reserves 2-1 Oadby Reserves

‘The Mikes’ started the game brightly and found themselves 2-0 up after only 15 minutes.
The first goal came after only five minutes when a Jamie Fisher free kick was dropped by the Oadby keeper and Tom Clews was in prime position to head into an empty net.

‘The Mikes’ continued to push forward and were rewarded again 10 minutes later. A well passing move did the trick with Simeon Tulloch playing a 40 yard ball down the right wing for Tom Law whose cross found Mark Mason and he side footed home from five yards to make it 2-0.

Boldmere continued to dominate and Fisher went close to adding to the score line from a free kick 25 yards from goal. With the Oadby keeper lining up his wall, Fisher tried a quick one but the keeper managed to race across the goal and tip the ball over the bar for a corner.

The second half was not as action packed as the first and there were few chances up until the last five minutes.

Boldmere lost the ball on the half way line, Oadby charged forward unchallenged and Sean Butler was easily lobbed from 10 yards out.

However, Oadby couldn’t get the equaliser as Boldmere safely saw out the game with some neat possession football.
