Boldmere St. Michaels Yth 0-1 Bedworth United Yth
The young mikes welcomed Bedworth United to Church Road as they hoped to capitalise on their superb win at Alvechurch.
On a wet night the visitors made the best start Oliver Wragg making a save on 24 mins, seven minutes later they were awarded a penalty only for Alex Platt to horribly waste, by blasting the ball over the bar and onto the Chester Road.
Boldmere’s best chance of the half came on 43 mins when Johaine Thompson had a shot saved at close range.
Mikes started the second half strongly and on 47 mins an ambitious shot from the far touchline by Jerome Chambers only just cleared the Bedworth bar.
Bedworth began to build up the pressure and finally took the lead on the hour when a clever corner went across the home defence 6 yard box and was tapped in by Jack Coulton.
The Mikes went in search of the all important equaliser and went close on 77 minutes when they had a corner cleared off the Bedworth goal line. This turned out to be their final chance and the visitors held out to take all three points
