Banbury United Preview
The Mikes Reserves entertain Banbury United in the Midland Combination Reserve Division on Saturday for their third home game in 8 days.
They will be looking to continue their explosive goalscoring form of the last week, smashing 18 goals without reply courtesy of two 9-0 romps against second placed Oadby Town and Droitwich Spa in the Smedley Crooke Cup.
Joint Manager Rob Clarke looked ahead to the game. “Banbury are second bottom and we have won our last two games 9-0. It’s potentially a classic banana skin where we could come back down to earth with a huge bump. We beat them 4-0 earlier in the season, but we had a strong team out as our first team was without a game. The last two games have been unbelievable, but if anybody thinks this will be easy, we will come unstuck. If we keep our work rate, performance levels and good habits, we’ve got a decent chance of a result.”
