Barwell preview 19th Sept
The Mikes face their sternest test of the season so far on Saturday 19th September, when they entertain Aspire MFA league leaders Barwell (3:00pm).
Barwell boast an unbeaten league record and have been in excellent goalscoring form. The Mikes will relish the chance to pit their wits against last season’s runners up, hoping that they can carry on last year’s happy knack of ending opposition unbeaten records.
The Mikes will be without long term injury victims Jason Holmes and Mark Mason, but welcome Anthony Juxon back to the squad after he missed the Midweek win against Malvern Town due to work commitments.
We are likely to be welcoming back two former Mikes to the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground. Since his move to Kirkby Road, Kev Charley has continued to demonstrate the predatory instincts we saw in his time here, while Liam McDonald had a short spell on loan with the Mikes during his time with Bromsgrove Rovers.
