Blaby & Whetstone Athletic Preview
The Mikes visit Blaby & Whetstone in the 2nd Round proper of the FA Carlsberg Vase, as they bid to secure a place in the last 64 and prize money of £1200.
Athletic are managed by former Coalville manager Lee Harriman, who has assembled an experienced side that currently sits in the top six of the Leicestershire Senior League.
The Mikes will look to build on their excellent second half showing against League 2 Burton Albion on Tuesday as they travel into Leicestershire for the fourth time this season, with an even record of one win, one draw and one defeat in their MFA encounters so far.
Tom Law is added to Tuesday’s squad following his form in the reserves, which sees him averaging more than a goal-a-game. Richard Dunleavy misses out after damaging ankle ligaments in Wednesday’ s reserve team game.
If Saturday's tie ends in a draw, a replay will take place here at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground on Tuesday 17th November, with a 7:30pm kick off.
