Boldmere endured the worst possible to the season falling behind in the first minute. A cross by Tim Jackson caused confusion in the area between goalkeeper Adam Lane and defender Adam Wood, the ball fell to the waiting Danny Dubidat who stroked the ball into an empty goal, fully capitalizing on the early error.
The second half saw a reversal of fortune with Boldmere scoring early on. John Williams' neat chip into the path of Ricky Baker on 48 minutes set the winger up, who calmly side footed the ball past the advancing keeper Damian Stevens and into the right side of the goal.
On the hour mark Garry Barton turned provider neatly passing through visiting defence and into the path of John Williams who as with the first goal, calmly slotted the ball past the advancing Stevens.
On the 69 minute mark John Williams got his second and Boldmere's third latching onto Ricky Baker's to feet pass on the edge of the 18yard box. Williams fired the ball into the far corner of the goal.
Richard Brown fouled Nathan Gough in the area. The resulting penalty was taken by John Williams, who grabbed an opening day hat-trick on 78 minutes.
