Brighter Injury news for Holmes and Mason
The Mikes are still without long-term injury victims Jason Holmes and Mark Mason. However, this week brought brighter news for the strikers, who were both injured in the second game of the season against Highgate United two months ago.
Holmes has been working hard under the guidance of the Mikes physiotherapy team, as he looks to finally shake off the effects of his troublesome ankle injury. It was very pleasing to see him take a full part in training this week, including full contact 5-a-side games – hopefully a return to match action is not too far away.
Mason is somewhat further away from a return, but has now had the cast removed following his broken metatarsal. This means that his rehabilitation can now begin in earnest.
We look forward to seeing both players back in contention as soon as possible.
