Bromsgrove Rovers Yth 2 - 3 Boldmere St. Michaels Yth

The young mikes continued their FA Cup campaign on a cold wet night in Bromsgrove.   Boldmere made a bright start and on 4 minutes the Bromsgrove keeper saved at the feet of Johaine Thompson.   Bromsgrove took the lead on 19 minutes when a corner was headed in past Oliver Wragg by their no11   On 33 minutes Bromsgrove had a two on one situation and the chip over the Boldmere keeper just cleared the bar.   Boldmere evened things up on 36 minutes when a Jordan Gibbons cross was headed in by Johaine Thompson.

Bromgrove took the lead back in first half stoppage time when a cross was headed in by the no 6 past Oliver Wragg at close range.   In the 2nd half Boldmere seemed to gain strength helped by substitutions as Bromsgrove seemed to run out of gas and Boldmere equalised on 71 minutes when Jake Brookes raced onto a cross and fired past the Bromsgrove keeper.

Boldmere had the ball in the net on 76 minutes but the flag was up and on 85 minutes Jordan Gibbons went on a great solo run beating 4 men before seeing his shot tipped over the Bromsgrove bar and a mionute later had a corner cleared off the Bromsgrove line and so to extra time.   In the second half of extra time Jake Brookes saw a free kick tipped over the bar and with three minutes left before penalties Boldmere got their deserved winner when Jake Brookes got a touch to a cross to beat the keeper and earn a famous win
