CUP FINAL PREVIEW: Midland Football Combination Challenge Bowl
Saturday 17th April 2010 – 3:00pm
The Mikes Reserves v Quorn Reserves
* Here at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground

It’s cup final day here on Saturday, with The Mikes being given home advantage in this year’s Midland Combination Challenge Bowl Final.

The Mikes welcome Quorn Reserves to the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground for the second time this season, with The Mikes winning a hugely entertaining league encounter 5-4.
The Mikes still have to visit Farley Way for the return fixture. This will our final league fixture of the season, on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May at 3:00pm. Both sides will be hoping to have maintained their title challenge by the time the fixture arrives.

Both sides won through the group stages of the competition with a perfect record from five games. In the two legged semi finals The Mikes beat Chasetown 6-3 on aggregate, winning both legs. Quorn meanwhile, overturned a 3-1 first leg deficit against Bromsgrove Rovers, winning 5-2 in the home second leg.

The Mikes currently sit top of the home form guide, while Quorn are the best ranked away side, so there is no clear favourite. The Mikes will be hoping to go one better than last season, when they lost out to Chasetown in the dying seconds of extra time in the final at Chasetown.

The Midland Combination has set the admission prices for the contest, with adults priced at £5, concessions £2. There will be match programme available.
