The Mikes will welcome their nearest Baker Joiner MFA rivals Coleshill Town to The Trevor Brown Memorial Ground on Friday, after the sides were paired together for match 58 in the Preliminary Round of The FA Cup with Budweiser. The Prize fund for this tie is £1500
In a new development for The Mikes, the tie will take place on Friday 2nd September 2011, kicking off at 7:30pm.
In the Extra Preliminary Round, both sides hit a nap hand in home ties against Midland Combination Premier Division opposition. The Mikes despatched Bartley Green 5-2, while the Colemen comfortably overcame Brocton 5-1 with Danny Carter grabbing a hat trick..
The Mikes will be looking to build on their performance in Tuesday's 1-1 daw with Alvechurch, where a late strike denied them the points that their second half dominance warranted after Matt Hawker had fired The Mikes ahead.
The Colemen also registered a point from the Bank Holiday fixture list, courtesy of a 2-2 home draw with Kirby Muxloe. Town came from two down after Lewis Gibbons bagged a brace for the Leicestershire side within the first quarter of an hour. Not to be outdone, Jason Ramsey drew the home side level with a pair of his own a few minutes either side of the interval. This took Town's unbeaten run to seven games since the opening day defeat to Tipton Town, which sees them lie sixth in the table.
Should the tie end in a draw, the replay will take place Pack Meadow on Tuesday 6th September, kicking off at 7:45pm. FA Cup Replays are played to a finish, including extra time and penalties if required.
The draw for the First Qualifying Round has also been made. The prize for the winners is a trip to Leamington, of the Evo-stik Southern League Premier Division. Match 33 in the draw will take place at the New Windmill Ground on Saturday 17th September 2011. The prize money at that stage increases to £3000.
