First Team Preview: Sat 26 Sep 09 Friar Lane & Epworth – Away
The Mikes face Leicestershire opposition once again on Saturday 26th September, when they travel to Friar Lane & Epworth for an Aspire Midland Football Alliance fixture (3:00pm).
The Mikes will be looking to bounce back from their reverse against league leaders Barwell last week. The Mikes have no new injury worries, but add striker Johaine Thomson to the squad following his recent scoring exploits in the reserves.
Rob Mallaband is away, so Rob Clarke and Stuart Grosvenor will lead the team for the next two games. Clarke commented: “Friar Lane is never an easy place to go. We will have to go there and match them if we want to win the right to play. The lads have had smiles on their faces in training this week, so let’s hope that augurs well for a positive performance.”
