Manager on Alvechurch defeat
The Mikes went down to a disappointing defeat on an afternoon of high frustration at the Trevor Brown memorial Ground.
Two first half goals ensured that the Worcestershire outfit took the points from a scrappy contest, the second coming from former player Callum Gittings.
The Mikes were unable to find a way back into the game after the visitors were reduced to 10-men in the second half, after Matt Gasper deservedly saw red following a dreadful challenge on Tom Stevenson.
Disappointed manager Rob Mallaband reflected on the Mikes second home defeat of the season: “They did to us today exactly what we did to them at their place last season. They came and did a job and took their chances.”
The Mikes return to home action on Tuesday night, when they entertain League 1 neighbours Walsall in a Birmingham County FA Senior Cup tie (7:30pm).
