All eyes will be on the weather before Tuesday, as the Mikes hope to welcome Oadby Town to the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground. The weekend snow is all but gone, but this has left the pitch very wet. There is also a chance of more snow during Monday and Tuesday, which means the game is likely to be subject to a pitch inspection.
Oadby’s Leicestershire derby with Kirby Muxloe was postponed on Saturday, while the Mikes drew 1-1 in the mud at Studley.
The Mikes crashed to a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Topps Park in October, so will be looking to recreate a repeat of last year’s midweek game here at Church Road, where an explosive first half performance provided the platform for an emphatic 4-0 victory.
Apart from being one of the best displays of the season, the game was also notable for the landmark of 1,000 MFA goals for the Mikes. Stuart McNaught took the honours when he headed home the second goal of the game.
