Midland Combination Challenge Bowl Semi-Final Dates set
The Mikes Reserves have known for a number of weeks that they will face holders Chasetown in a two-legged semi-final in the Midland Combination Challenge Bowl.
The mouth-watering repeat of last year’s final sees the Mikes make the short trip to the Scholars for the first leg. This will take place on Saturday 6th February (3:00pm).
The second leg will take place a fortnight later here at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground, on Saturday 20th February (3:00pm)
The other semi-final will be contested by league leaders Quorn and Bromsgrove Rovers, who finished as runners up to the unbeaten Mikes in Group A.
Joint Manager Rob Clarke looked ahead to the game: “I hope there’s a bit of football to be played between now and then, but who knows with the weather at the moment!! I expect two closely contested games as there is usually very little between the teams. It’s a few weeks away yet, so we’ll just hope to hit the ground running when the weather breaks, and look forward to the games when they arrive.”
