'Jacko' is a product of the club's youth system and he was a first team regular under Alan Parsons while still playing under 18 football.
Now 29 and a vastly experienced campaigner, he left Church Road to sample Southern League football with our near neighbours Sutton Coldfield Town in two separate spells. However, he has twice been reminded of the error of his ways by manager Rob Mallaband, and has returned 'home' in each of his spells at the helm.
The 2009/10 season saw him awarded with The Alf Morrall Trophy for the first team Player's Player of the Year, which was richly deserved for his consistent level of performance. Of course, he accepted the award in his usual quiet and dignified manner at the annual presentation!
