Oadby 2 - 3 Boldmere St. Michaels

After an early mistake between Wood and Cobb was not punished by Oadby, Boldmere set about attacking Oadby's goal. Stevenson had an early chance after a Ricky Baker freekick was received by Lyndon Weller on the right, his testing low cross was met by Stevenson at the near post and although on target, was saved by Oadby's goalkeeper Pickering.

On 19 minutes Boldmere took the lead following a throw in by Aaron Hamilton on the right to Shaun Derry in midfield.  He found Nathan Gough whose effort on goal was blocked, the rebounding ball fell to the waiting Ricky Baker who made no mistake in guiding between the sticks.

Boldmere’s continued efforts were not rewarded and Oadby's attempts on goal were scarce until 1 minute to go before the interval. Collins' chip pass over the Boldmere defence fell invitingly to White who ran clear of the defence and chipped the advancing goalkeeper to score.

The hosts took the lead after 51 minutes after a Lynch and White one two before unleashing a shot from the edge of the area to score. Boldmere hit straight back and within a minute were again on level terms. Baker's low cross to Gough on the back post set up Williams on the edge of the area and his shot found the far corner.

Boldmere pushed forward and took the lead in the 59th minute. Gough chased a ball heading for the side line, he controlled and turned leaving the defender behind, running freely towards the Oadby goal.  After reaching the 18 yard area his square pass found John Williams who took his chance and fired in a shot at goal, the goalkeeper had no chance.
