Oldbury Town 1 - 2 Boldmere St. Michaels
Boldmere got back to winning ways at Oldbury on Wednesday night. Early chances fell to Osborne whose efforts were saved by ex-Boldmere keeper Paul Fellows. On 19 minutes the deadlock was broken from Ricky Baker's corner, Neil Hanlon headed across goal and Stuart McNaught at the back post headed home.
Oldbury equalized early in the second half, with the goal also coming from a corner. Matthew Gardner's whipped-in ball fell to the back post and was met by the diving Rory McFarlane who headed home through a crowded area and past Adam Lane.
Boldmere pushed forward looking for the win and on 67 minutes got the winner. A long punt up-field found John Williams running in on goal from the right of the 18 yard box. He fired in a low shot which beat Paul Fellows at his near post. Boldmere then absorbed the Oldbury pressures to defend the lead with the home side throwing everything they had at the defence in search of a way back into the game.
