RON TRANTER
Ron was brought to the club with one role in mind, doing what he does best and putting a smile on people's faces!
A larger than life character, 'Trant' has a wealth of experience in the non league game, as a former goalkeeper with many clubs including Sutton Coldfield Town and a number of management roles, including Bolehall Swifts with long time friend John Capaldi, father of Mikes striker Stuart Capaldi.
Ron is willing to get involved wherever required, whether that be checking out players or future opponents, or providing invaluable support around the reserve team set up this season, helping Rob Clarke to cover Mick Hawkins' work commitments. Even at 64, he loves the chance to get the gloves back on and get involved in matchday warm ups!
Manager Rob Mallaband added "I didn't have a particular role in mind for Ron, but I knew I wanted to get him to the club. He's one of those characters you need around who adds value whatever he does and he certainly adds to the atmosphere!"
