The young mikes ventured to Damson Parkway for this e.o.n Sponsered Third qualifying Round game knowing that they had the prospect of a home first round proper game against either FCV Reds or Cogenhoe United should they triumpth
However Solihull Moors were going in to this unbeaten for over a year and having scored eighteen goals in the previous round against Wellington so Boldmere knew they were facing a uphill task.
Solihull broke quickly from the traps and took the lead after 3 minutes when Lewis Moss broke clear and shot under Oliver Wragg in the Boldmere goal
On 10 minutes Liam Doyle raced clear for Solihull but fired wide of the Boldmere goal.
The pressure kept coming and Solihull doubled their lead after 14 minutes when Marvin Johnson lobbed over Oliver Wragg as he tried to stop the shot.
Boldmere started to come into the game their best first half effort came on 20 minutes when Cavan Baxters effort was saved by Ian Kimberley.
The Second half was a bit more even but Boldmere did pick up a couple of bookings in the process.
The young mikes had a chance on 71 minutes when Johaine Thompson shot past the post and he had another chance shortly after when he broke clear only to fire straight at Ian Kimberley.
Late on as Boldmere tried to get a consulation effort it was Solihull who got the final word on 87 minutes when sub Kurtis Buckley fired home in the top corner of the net to send Solihull through and end the young mikes brave effort.
