Stratford Town Reaction
The Mikes returned from the DCS Stadium empty handed after seeing their lead overturned by the home side in the second half, which hinged on Adam Wood’s dismissal. The big defender controversially saw red for a debatable second booking on the hour, shortly after the home side’s equaliser. The Mikes ten men were unable to hang on and Town notched the winner with 10 minutes remaining.
Rob Mallaband was not too downcast “We didn’t deserve to lose the game, but we’re in a run where nothing is going our way. It was disappointing, as both managers agreed a good game of football was spoiled. The sending off was a major factor.”
The Mikes are in home action on Tuesday, when they entertain League Two new boys Burton Albion in the Birmingham Senior Cup (7:30pm).
