The Mikes ease past Cradley

The Mikes 2 - 0 Cradley Town   The Mikes made it six points in four days as they defeated bottom side Cradley Town by two goals to nil at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground.

The performance was workmanlike rather than spectacular, but the Mikes were mostly in control and Sean Butler wasn’t seriously extended in the home goal.

Kirk Smith provided the highlight of the game, going on a mazy run down the left flank, leaving four defenders trailing in his wake before laying a close range tap-in on a plate for Simeon Tulloch to register goals in consecutive games.

Not to be outdone, skipper Tom Stevenson also added to his goal on Saturday when he made the game safe in the second half.

First Team Coach Stuart Grosvenor commented: “It wasn't always pretty, but we looked solid at the back and worked hard, so we’re more than happy with a win and a clean sheet”.

The Mikes set out on the Wembley trail on Saturday, when they visit MFA rivals Studley in the First Round Proper of the FA Carlsberg Vase (3:00pm).
