Triple Departure

Three former Mikes players are in the process of moving to new clubs. Simon Volante joined us in the summer from Coleshill Town. After featuring for the first team in pre season, he missed the opening weeks of the season due to a wedding then holiday. He found himself unable to to force his way back into the first team reckoning upon his return, and the last of his three Reserve Team appearances was in the Challenge Bowl win at Barwell last month. Simon also made one substitute appearance for the first team. The midfielder looks likely to join Aspire MFA rivals Highgate United.

Looking likely to join Volante at Tythe Barn Lane is Junior Bennett, who was released a few weeks ago after finding his opportunities limited. He made one appearance for the Mikes Reserves, at Bromsgrove Rovers in the opening league game.

Phil Allen was released last week. Phil joined us right at the end of pre season, which meant he had to wait for opportunities, which have been limited to three substitute appearances. Phil is in the process of rejoining to his old club, Bromsgrove Rovers.
