Youth Team under new management
The Mikes under 18s will open their Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division North campaign for 2010/11 on home soil.
They entertain Loughborough Dynamo Youth on Monday 23rd August 2010, with kick off at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground at the regular time for home league games, 7:30pm.
The next crop of youngsters will be under new management team this year, with well respected coach Glenn Pooler managing the team. Glenn is be assisted by former Millwall, Wimbledon and Shrewsbury Town striker, Steve Anthrobus. The club would like to welcome them both to Church Road and wish them every success here. They have previously been working with the under 15s, so are no strangers to The Mikes set up.
Glenn and Steve take over from Mark Clarke and Andy Burman, who guided The Mikes to a very respectable fifth placed finish last season. At the club presentation evening, First Team Manager Rob Mallaband thanked the duo for their excellent work over the past few seasons, making a small presentation to recognise their impressive contribution.
