The Mikes v Walsall Wood – Sat 27th March 2010 – 3:00p
Match Preview: Saturday 27th March 2010 – 3:00pm
Boldmere St Michael’s Reserves v Walsall Wood Reserves
Midland Football Combination Reserve League
Walsall Wood Reserves make the short journey down the Chester Road for The Mikes' penultimate home league game.
The sides have met twice this season. The Mikes won 3-1 at home in the group stages of the Challenge Bowl competition, while The Prims gained revenge in the league fixture at Oak Park, winning a tempestuous affair 2-1.
The Mikes are currently in the midst of a flurry of games as they look to catch up on fixtures following adverse weather and success in cup competitions. Rob Clarke reflected “the games are coming thick and fast, but it’s better than training. We will have to utilise the squad to the full with at least 11 games to play in the next 6 weeks. Everyone is looking to impress and we have healthy competition for places. It’s an old cliché, but it’s a nice headache to have”
The Mikes travel to Gresley in midweek, visiting the Moat Ground on Thursday 1st April (7:45pm).
