The Mikes Reserves will again compete in the Midland Football Combination in 2011/12. The Mikes have been proud members of the reserve divisions since its formation in the early 1980s.
This season, the structure has been amended. All reserve teams have been removed from the main Midland Combination structure and there will be two reserve divisions, with promotion and relegation for the first time. The Mikes have been placed in Division 1, which is mainly formed from last year's Reserve Division. 12 teams will compete in Reserve Division 1, increased from 11 in 2010/11. Heather St John's have resigned, while Coalville Town and Stratford Town are welcome additions.
The other big change is the playing venue. The Mikes Reserves will play their home games at the nearby
Hollyfields Centre Club Limited, Woodacre Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B24 0JT
The Mikes Reserve Team is managed by Mark Butterworth, assisted by Ray Clamp and Mick Hawkins. Peter Hall performs the secretarial duties.
Last Season, the Mikes finished in sixth place in the table and managed to retain The Challenge Bowl, beating Tipton Town 5-2 in the final.
Please note that there are no floodlights at Hollyfields, so home kick off times may vary. Please check the Fixtures & Results page for details.
