Second Successive Staffs Stalemate
Biddulph Victoria 0-0 Boldmere St Michaels
Tuesday 9th March 2010
Aspire Midland Football Alliance
It was a case of deja vu for The Mikes as they were held to their second goalless stalemate in four days against Staffordshire opposition.
Once again, the Mikes played by far the more controlled football and did most of the pressing, but were unable to breakdown a stubborn Vics rearguard and create too many clear opportunities
.
Manager Rob Mallaband reflected "We've dominated again but not really looked like scoring. We played some great stuff at times and looked like the side more likely to win, but we need to rediscover that cutting edge. Obviously I happy with another clean sheet, so we'll move on to Saturday in a positive frame of mind".
The Mikes make their longest Aspire MFA trip of the season on Saturday, visiting Herefordshire to take on Westfields (3:00pm).
