| Young Mikes dump Burton Albion out the cup |
A fantastic performance from the young Mikes ensured Burton Albion were dumped out of the Staffs FA Youth Cup. After the game, which was switched to Gresley Rovers, Assistant Manager Andy Burman commented:
"As most of you know, I am not one to give praise easily but last nights youth team victory over Burton Albion was one of the best youth team performances (and I have seen many over the years, both academy and centre of excellence teams) that I have EVER seen. Rarely do all 11 players perform to their full potential and last night these lads were a real credit to themselves and the club.
In difficult muddy conditions they did everything asked of them and in a controlled way each gave a superb performance with controlled and precise play, quality set pieces and solid defensive cover. With 6 of the starting 11 being just 16 years of age and against an experienced Burton side, it was a night to be very pround!"

Our Home Midland Youth Floodlit League game against Hinckley United, originally scheduled to take place on Monday 20th October has been postponed because our involvement that week in the FA Youth Cup on the Wednesday away at Solihull Moors.

The Young mikes now go on to face Solihull Moors who in their 2nd Qualifier defeated Wellington by 18 (eighteen) goals to nil . The game will be played at Damson Parkway on Wednesday 22nd October, kick off 7.45pm

Our FA Youth Cup 2nd Qualifying round game at Bromsgrove Rovers has been confirmed to take place at Bromsgrove Rovers on Wednesday 8th October with a 7.45pm kick off

Due to the withdrawal of our FA Youth Cup Preliminary Round opponents Coventry Copeswood, Boldmere have now been awarded a walkover to the next round where we will host the winners of Dostill Colts and Lye Town at Church Road.
